P5 Washingtonia robusta (Mexican Fan Palm)

Native to: Western Sonora and Baja California.
Growth: Up to 90 feet tall
Fronds: Fan shaped with 3 foot long petioles that have orange saw tooth spikes along the edges.
Note: Washingtonia robusta (Mexican fan palm) and W. filifera (California fan palm) hybridized over the years in nurseries. Some people call them W. filibusta.
Water Requirements: Medium (all year)
Family: Arecaceae
Subfamily: Coryphoideae
Tribe: Livistoneae
